The Condominiums at Sugarloaf consist of 35 duplex building containing a total of 70 units on 23 acres at the base of the 500 acre Mt. Sugarloaf Reservation. The Condominiums at Sugarloaf are located within walking distance of a small but vibrant downtown and are just a minute to Interstate 91 and Route 116. We are approximately 15 minutes to Amherst, Northampton, and Greenfield. There are three phases to the project and Phase 1 is selling very well, although there are many wonderful house sites still remaining. Also included in your mudroom is a full sized Energy Star washer and dryer. The heating and air conditioning systems are Energy Star forced hot air with an Energy Star on-demand tank-less water heater and all are 95% energy efficient. The kitchens are semi-custom, allowing you to choose a door style/stain color and granite counter color. All kitchen cabinets are solid wood (with veneer panels for stability) dovetail joints and easy close doors and drawers. All of our condominiums offer single floor living with vaulted ceilings in the living areas, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, walk-in closets, mud and laundry room, and the opportunity to expand living space. Aging in Place
One of our goals is to create structurally sound homes with beautiful finishes at reasonable prices. However, none of this matters if one can not feel safe and enjoy their space for years to come. We’re committed to creating the safest most beautiful living experience possible. In pursuit of this goal, all of our units have hard surface floors or 3/4″ solid wood and porcelain tiles (several choices are available). We do not include carpet anywhere in our homes as we tend to drag our feet as we age. We also put the door stops on the walls instead of on the floors and there are no height changes from wood to porcelain.
All of our door handles are levers instead of knobs as levers are easier and less painful to use for those with arthritis. All of our floor plans include wide door openings and open concept living for ease of mobility. We’ve even made the garages larger than many condominiums to make getting in and out of your vehicle easier. And we have lowered the buildings by removing those small foundation windows rarely used so there are fewer steps into your home. The exteriors are illuminated by Dusk to Dawn LED lights on either side of your one or two car garage and there is ample LED lighting at your front porch to assure safe access. We also offer a first-floor storage room, as an upgrade, for those who can not or rather not deal with all the stairs to your basement. All homes have full basements which feature rigid foam on all exterior walls, LED lighting, heat and air conditioning (yes, heat and air conditioning in your basement at a modest rate). And speaking of safe: Welcome to South Deerfield, a very same and welcoming community.
We are one of the only condominium communities to offer a Solar Array upgrade that can be installed on your roof. We also offer other upgrades such as a gas fireplace, gas wood stove, and a fenced dog or garden enclosure with very strict rules regarding the use of the enclosure to ensure your furry friends don’t infringe on the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of your neighbors. We also offer a 7′ x 14′ extensions to the living room of a 1310 sq. ft. unit as well as a 3′ extension of the living room of a 1500 sq. ft. unit, a custom room in the basement (some lots allow for large windows in the basement walls), a first floor storage unit between the garages and master bedroom. The square footage of your home can be increased to meet the needs of most customers.
